DR is a non-profit voluntary organization

Direct Response Development Organisation - is a National Non-Governmental Organisation, offering Animation and Accompaniment as a Strategy for Community Mobilisation and Empowerment for vulnerable groups, include deprived and underserved Communities. DR was a lead agency in the Community Mobilisation and Empowerment- Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project (CME/RWSSP)- a Pioneer of Rural WASH Resilience and Scaling up Social Services in Sierra Leone.
To achieve sustainable strategic alliance, challenge, motivate multi-stakeholders’ action and excellence in performance, while striving to reduce poverty, inequalities and exceed the expectations of those with whom we serve, through Diverse Inclusion

Educational development

DR mobilise communities and designs technical and business skills training to break occupational and sex barries in WASH sector

DR through supports from Access to Justice and Security Programme-ASJP to Civil Society Organisations Network, currently advocating for the Registration of Customary Marriages and Divorces Act and Monitoring the Adherence to Government Emergency Regulations and Local Bye-Laws in Western Rural District

Financial Planning

VS&LA- promotes local participants’ Savings and Loan Associations that build on the traditional Rotating Savings and Credit Association (ROSCA) methodology. They enable poor people to save enough money to buy useful items for the household and make opportunistic business investments

Social Care

We help fund and support projects in the areas of education, health, water, sanitation and hygiene, monitoring & evaluation, Business management/Secure Livelihood, Environment and Climate Change Adaptations, Advocacy/Research, internal controls and project risk management and mitigation.
